Advanced Tennis Serves : Practicing Consistent Tennis Serves

Okay, consistency once again is a weapon in
serving as well as in every other facet of the game. So, once you’ve develop some skills
with serving, we want to see how many in a row can I get into the service box. So you
don’t even have to hit a target or anything as complicated as that. So you are going to
just start and you are going to see how many can you serve. So that’s two, three. So if
you can hit twenty in a row, that means when you’re playing a match, you’re going to be
able to hit one. If you can hit fifty in a row you’re going to be able to hit them when
you need to. So the idea is; hit a lot of serves, but once you get some skills and some
control, then see how many you can hit in a row and then how many in a row can you hit
to a certain part of the service box, how many in a row can you hit with different spins
and start really working on that because you have to be able to hit a lot of serves in
a row because to develop consistency, it comes from hitting basket after basket after basket.
So Gary let’s see if you can hit five in a row. Just into the service box, nothing fancy.
That’s one, Okay, so you missed that one long. That’s long. So it’s not an easy drill. Gary,
does have sore; a sore back. So we’ll give him a little leeway on this one. But that’s
what you want to do is work on your consistency and after you’ve worked on every other facet
of it. It does have to have a practical application. You ought to get the ball in. Consistency
is what you want.

This video contradicts their other video on how to put more pace on serve. The guy in blue is hitting with incorrect motion that the instructor said not to do in the other video.

@mattymatt86 this video is about consistency, not about proper form (trophy pose and so on)!
