In recent days, Lisbon was the center of attention for coaching in Handball. The Iberian EHF Pro Master Coach was held between 23 and 28 June in the Portuguese capital, alongside with the 13th Scientific Technical Handball Congress. The Portuguese Handball Federation in partnership with the Real Federación Española de Balonmano organized the Iberian coaching, which gathered about 80 Portuguese and Spanish trainees. The speakers were also Portuguese and Spanish, embracing a journey of great importance to the education of coaches. For me it is a pleasure to be here because I am lecturing a physical trainning class in the world of handball with the best coaches in Europe, both Spanish and Portuguese. For me it is an honor to transmit some knowledge. They can get an idea of what we do, that might be useful to them. For me it’s a pleasure, I am delighted. The Lusofona University of Lisbon was the host of the most important and recognized Congress in the country. The 13th edition had the best program ever, with worldwide known speakers. The presence of top coaches from the Iberian EHF Pro Master Coach enabled them to be on stage in the Congress to present their ideas on “Paths For Revenue”. Talant Dujshebaev, Champions League winner of this year, and the second place Xavier Sabaté were the highlight, alongside the Barcelonas coach Xavier Pascual Fuertes. Fortunately I was able to attend this master coach and participate in this great project. I am sure that it is very important for the handballs world. The truth is that it is a pleasure to be here. I’m proud to be here with so many high level coaches. I believe that is a unique opportunity for us to be here together. I am very surprised and grateful because there are many coaches and this means that the handball it is alive and i would like to congratulate the Portuguese Handball Federation for the organization of this master. It is an honor and I am proud. Obviously when one is invited to a Congress with such quality as this, it is always a reason to be proud being here and to try to share knowledge with colleagues. The known speakers list did not end here… The 13th edition of Congress had also the presence of Juan Carlos Pastor, worlds champion with the Spanish national team and present coach of Pick Szeged; Mariano Ortega, from Sport Lisboa e Benfica; and João Comédias, from Passos Manuel. An endless program, beginning with Agostinho da Silva Auditorium receiving the theoretical sessions, and ending in the School Quinta de Marrocos with the practice sessions. The 200 participants crowded into the two stages of the 13th Scientific Technical Handball Congress, the best and most attended ever in Portugal.
