Family friends find body of missing woman


E SHE WAS LAST SEEN WEDNESDAY MORNING. CREWS RECOVERED HER BODY AROUND 12:30 THIS AFTERNOON. POLICE SAY A 37-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FROM LINCOLN WAS REPORTED MISSING WEDNESDAY NIGHT ROUGHLY 12 HOURS AFTER SHE WAS SEEN SWIMMING RIGHT HERE IN THIS PART OF THE RIVER CALLED LADIES’ BATHTUB. THE WOMAN’S CAR IS STILL PARKED NEARBY.>>SHE HAD NOT BEEN SEEN AFTER SHE WENT SWIMMING. REPORTER: WE ARE TOLD SHE WAS THERE WITH FRIENDS WHO AT THE TIME, TRIED TO FIND HER.>>FRIENDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL SPEND THE DAY LOOKING ALONG THE RIVER BANKS AND CALLED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. REPORTER: THEN THIS MORNING A FISH AND GAME DIVE TEAM WAS CALLED IN TO SEARCH A LARGE PART OF THE RIVER. THEN SHORTLY AFTER NOON THE SEARCH WAS CALLED OFF.>>WE WERE NOTIFIED A BODY HAD BEEN LOCATED 3/4 OF A MILE DOWN RIVER IN SOME RABBITS. REPORTER: — RAPIDS. REPORTER: FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY DOING A SHORELINE SEARCH WERE THE ONES WHO SPOTTED THE BODY AND CALLED POLICE. THE MEDICAL EXAMINER WAS CALLED IN AND THE BODY HAS BEEN REMOVED. NOW AS STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE, FISH AND GAME OFFICIALS ARE SENDING OUT A WARNING. REPORTER: A LOT OF THE WATER WE ARE DEALING WITH HERE TODAY IS IN THE MID-40’S, WHICH IS STILL SNOW RUNOFF FROM THE WILDERNESS.
