How to Play Goalie | Lacrosse

“Hi, I’m Taylor Nissi, Director Of Operations
at Game Breaker Lacrosse. I’m here today with Nick Schmidt, who’s one
of our great regional directors. Please visit our website www.laxcamps.com. Playing goalie in Lacrosse is a very important
position. You’re the main communicator for the defense
as well as in charge of stopping the ball. As the ball moves around the field, it’s important
that you clearly and loudly let your defense know where the ball is. Additional responsibilities include making
sure that the person who’s in charge of covering the ball is in a good position and the person
who’s helping is in a good position. Proper position for goalie in Lacrosse is
to have a slight bend in your knee and maintain a low athletic position. You want to have your stick up and as you
move around the goal, you always want to maintain proper position and try and limit the offensive
shooting angles. As we move around, we should keep our eye
on the ball and remember to keep communicating to our defensive teammates. As shots come, we want to maintain eye contact
with the ball and aggressively step to the ball. As we step, we want to step with our stick
and follow with our body in case our stick misses. The main objectives when stopping a shot are
to step out to the ball and limit the rebounds. While a team is comprised of ten players,
goalie’s most often a very important part. You’re the last line of defense for your team,
and a good goalie can be a huge factor in a game. This was a duplicate video – I just transcribed
it a few hits ago.”

You are terrible! You're holding your stick wrong which will make you much slower in a save, your stance is all kinds of messed up, you did not go into detail, you have probably never played the position of Goalie. I would expect better from HowCast. I really hope that beginners avoid using this video for tips.
