KSU officials regret fan conduct after win

FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, K-STATE BEAT K-U IN MANHATTAN. BUT THE COMPLAINTS THIS MORNING REVOLVE AROUND THE K-STATE FANS. THE K-S-U PRESIDENT ADMITTED ON TWITTER LAST NIGHT A CHANT USING FOUR-LETTER LANGUAGE WAS ‘INAPPROPRIATE.’ AND WHEN THE GAME ENDED, A FEW FANS SEEMED TO GO AFTER KANSAS PLAYERS AND COACHES. THIS VINE CLIP SHOWS A FAN BUMPING JAMARI TRAYLOR. OTHERS SEEMED TO SURROUND JAYHAWK COACH BILL SELF. THE CROWD BECAME AN ISSUE IN POST- GAME NEWS CONFERENCES: MANY KANSAS STATE FANS WANT TO FOCUS ON THE GAME. IT WAS A NIGHT WHICH WENT BACK AND FORTH. KAKE SPORTS ANCHOR SHANE EWING SHOWS HOW THE WILDCATS WOUND UP ON TOP: WE ASKED YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA FOR YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE GAME. ONE TWITTER FOLLOWER SAID IT WAS GREAT FOR A K-STATE TEAM THAT HAS ‘SEVERELY UNDERPERFORMED.’ BUT HE CALLED THE STORMING OF THE COURT ‘TERRIBLE.’ ONE WILDCAT SUPPORTER LAUGHED AT THAT ON FACEBOOK, SAYING TO K-U FANS: ‘KEEP TEARING DOWN THE GOAL POST WHEN YOU GET YOUR ONE WIN.’ THE SPOTLIGHT NOW TURNS TO THE WICHITA STATE MEN, WHO PLAY AT INDIANA STATE
