Men’s Lacrosse: RIT v St. Lawrence 5-7-17

>>RIT Men’s Lacrosse team taking on St. Laurence University in the Liberty League Championship on a cold Sunday afternoon at Tiger Stadium. St Laurence comes out firing, Jamie DeNicola scores to cap a 4-0 run to start the game for the Saints. RIT responds on the man advantage, Ryan Lee buries it, to start the scoring for the Tigers. Second quarter, the Tigers claw their way back. Chad Levick scores to make it 5-3, and less than a minute later Ryan Lee scores to bring the Tigers within 1. It was tied up at 5 going into the second half. Third quarter, the Tigers begin to pull away, Aidan Milburn, that’s his second of the game, to make RIT lead 10-6. Fourth quarter, the Saints would answer, St. Lawrence scores three times in under a minute. This one from Jaime Kuppel, ties it at 10. Under 10 minutes to go, Braden Wallace rips one in to give the Tigers an 11-10 lead. Then with just 3 seconds left, Jaime DeNicola scores as the Saints force an overtime. In overtime, Ryan Lee to Chad Levick, rips the shot and scores! RIT wins their sixth-straight Liberty League title, by a score of 13-12. The Tigers will earn the automatic bid as they advance to the NCAA tournament.
