New Officials Series: Foul Reporting

you C Reporting. 1) Report to the table
before addressing questions from either coach. 2) If the situation necessitates
a discussion with the other officials, have the discussion before reporting to
the table so that the correct call and information is conveyed to the table. 3) the calling official informs the scorer
by moving around players and proceeding quickly to the reporting area. diagram 2
– 23 do not run through players going to any portion of the reporting area and
saving steps is permissible for the calling official shall follow the
following procedures a once in the reporting area the official will come to
a complete stop before communicating with table officials be slowly state the
color of the jersey and the playing number of the player who fouled visually
indicate the number of the player who fouled with a one-handed signal see give
a visual signal indicating the nature of the foul D if player control or team
control use the appropriate player or team control foul signal and only if
necessary the additional foul signal to communicate the type of foul II if
free-throws are to be attempted indicate the number of throw is awarded
by using only one hand or two hands in the case of a one-on-one situation F
observe activity around each team’s bench and penalize when necessary 9
complete all communication with the table before admitting a substitute or

    hey ref, first year here, your videos show you moving while reporting. is that an okay mechanic when the ball is going the other way?

    bad habit by me, revealed during the process of putting these visa together! can't go wrong doing it by the book, get the the reporting area quickly, stop and report.. do as I say not as I do! LOL.
