the King high school water polo team
opening up the season at home against Palm Desert the defending big 8 league
champions coming up with a big win against the visiting Aztecs to kick off
the 2018 2019 season this is the Riverside TV highlight reel I’m pep
Fernandez let’s get to the highlights King looking to jump start its year with
a win in its home pool the first goal of the year goes to jessenia Wilson
beautiful shot here skips it past the keeper were tied at one with the Aztecs
later the walls with a nice ball movement katlyn Peterson to Wilson she
dumps it inside to KC Bradshaw for the score King takes a one-goal lead now in
the second quarter King trailing 4 to 2 when Emily Hutton
passes up to Peterson who feeds Wilson for the goal the Wolves closed the gap
it’s back to 1 to the third quarter the King come back continues Wilson the goal
the Wolves offense would turn up and so did the defense great save from Point
Blank later in the 3rd quarter here comes the
equalizer Hutton sets up Casey Bradshaw for the goal the Wolves even the game at
6 apiece and they would not look back inside the final minute of the third
it’s Wilson to Bradshaw for the score King on top 8 to 7 to the 4th it’s still
a one goal game when Wilson pushes it up to Hutton and she fires off the shot
just over the keepers head the Wolves once trailed 6 to 4 but then scored 7 of
the next eight goals in the match to turn things around another one here for
Bradshaw as King wins their water polo opener 11 to 8 versus Palm Desert on the
Riverside TV highlight reel we we stop playing like in a different way we
switch some position of the girls is the first game of the season and our team is
really young they were really likes nervous the first quarter and a half of
the game but they were doing better after to go around we switched some
girls of position and that looks like that works I think it was just we’ve
never played a game together size thinking it just kind of clicked
together we just start playing better as a team I think it was really good
because it like starts the season off going like you win that first game and
it just really pumps up your season to get you ready for the other games
