TODAY, THE ROUGHRIDERS ATTEMPTED TO SECURE A CHAMPIONSHIP AT HILLCREST IN YANKTON. BEN DALEY MADE IT THE HOT TO DROP BOGEY. AND THEN FIVE OF HIS FINAL SIX HOLES FINISHED IN A TIE FOR SECOND AT EIGHT OVER. AND IT 16 HE FINDS THE BOTTOM OF THE CUP BOGEY ON 17 AND HIS TITLE HOPES. HE ALSO FINISHED EIGHT OVER. RAPID CITY SENIOR ADAM SALTER TIED FOR THE LEAD ON THE 16th HOLE. FLASHES OUT THE BUNKER SHOT FOR A SUPER BACK-TO-BACK BOGEYS ON 17 AND 18 DROPPED HIM TO EIGHT OVER. THAT OPEN THE DOOR FOR ROOSEVELT’S JACK LONDON WHO RULES AND THE POT ON 18 TO FINISH OUT THE FINAL ROUND 77 AND HE WINS HIS SECOND STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT SIX OVER PAR. HE ON THE ROUGHRIDERS WIN THE FIRST TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE 2009 WITH A TWO DAY TOTAL OF 625 LINCOLN FINISH TIED FOR SECOND TWO STROKES OFF PACE. THE TOURNAMENT CAME TO A CLOSE IN VERMILLION. SIOUX FALLS CHRISTIAN CAPTURES THE FIRST TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP. THEY FINISHED 13 STROKES OFF PACE FOLLOWED BY MADISON AND PARK STAN. FIRST EVER TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE IN SIOUX FALLS IN THE FLIGHT ON SINGLES FINAL YANKTON SENIOR RAPIDS CITY SOPHOMORE APPROACHES THE NET AND UNLEASHES THE WINNER. ONE GAME LONG IN CHARGE OF THE MAJORITY OF THE FIRST SET. AFTER EXCHANGING BACKHANDS, CHARGES THE NET AND SPINS A WINNER TOWARDS THE FAR CORNER. JOSIE WON THE SET 6 – 2. ON THE SCOREBOARD SHE AND THE GAZELLES FINISHED EDGING YANKTON BY EIGHT POINTS, AVERAGING THIRD FOLLOWED BY RAPID CITY CHRISTIAN, MILBANK AND MADISON.
