Okay, to hit a good lob, I’ve coached a lot
of people and I’ve never seen very, I’ve seen very few players that could do this. So this
really basic drill is, the goal here is to open the face of the racket, hit the ball
high on this front wall and have it land as close as you can to the front wall. Okay.
So that was okay, that wasn’t my buss, let’s see if I, ah there we go. So that’s pretty
good. So the idea here to hit a good lob, is to get this racket face open and to hit
the ball high of the front wall. See if you hit the ball like this, it’s going to be low
and they go deep, but when you hit a lob low, it doesn’t give you any time to get to the
T. And also since it’s low your opponent should be able to volley it and attack it. But the
key to a good lob is getting the ball high so it goes at a high angle into the back corner
and they can’t caught a racket on it until they get there. So practice hitting the ball
virtually straight up and you’ll, you’ll see an incredible improvement in your lobs right
away. So straight up, it’s just very hard to do, but if you do it enough, it’s not so
hard. So just focus on straight up, try to hit that red line, and that came out too far.
So, right there, right there. So that’s pretty good too cause you’re getting it straight
up. So anytime you hit your lob, you’re hitting it too far into the wall, it’s going to go
too low. So the key is, is to get that ball up.
