The Ref’s Who Train in Canada’s Most Charming Village | Koop’s Call Officiating Camp

Points can be handed out for anything, alright? I like the Vancouver Canucks… so, your guys team is going to get 5 points, just for that. Alright? With playing hockey as well I think some of
your best friends will honestly be officials or guys that you played hockey with. Actually my
best friend – Chris Crich – just worked a couple game sevens in the WHL playoffs, with the final game Memorial Cup so there’s a guy to that we’ve always we grew
up together; grew up like two hours apart from each other… We moved to Saskatoon
the same time and we just always maintained our friendship. I can’t say
enough about officiating and I hope you guys stick with it and I hope you have fun doing it! Let’s go here boys! Get your helmet on
man come on… How ya feeling this morning buddy? [Feeling pretty good.] Good sleep? [Ya, pretty good sleep…] ‘Attaboy! The vision for this camp was to be able to
show the kids just how much fun reffing could be and being able to put them up
in a world-class Lodge… Giving them all the amenities that Whistler has to offer
and giving them a fantastic array of some BC’s best instructors it was so cool
to see that vision become a reality and I can’t wait to do it again next year

Corey Koop's vision and effort in terms of encouraging, supporting and empowering our youth is worthy of the high respect and praise. There is nothing more important to society than deloping physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy kids to lead our world onward! Bravo Corey!
